The tenth edition of the Italian event dedicated to the camper and the trip in freedom has seen a boom in visitors clearly on the increase compared to past appointments.

From 14 to 22 September 2019 the public was the protagonist at the Salone del Camper, reaching an increase of 12.56% compared to last year.

The growing sector had already shown a special interest in the themes of the fair. In 2018, motorhome registrations registered a + 20.3%, more than one billion in turnover and 85% of vehicles produced in Italy were exported.

The organizers are happy to recognize that recreational tourism is the new global tourism destination, perhaps precisely because it also represents a travel formula with low environmental impact and extreme contact with nature. In this special edition more than 10,000 campers have been counted parked in the dedicated areas outside the fair pavilions.

The houses on wheels proposed are increasingly technological and expensive, with an elegant interior design reminiscent of the nautical sector, are equipped with retractable accessories and furnishings, expand to the 4 fully managed seats to ensure comfort and habitability within the compartment. For those with more demanding needs, there are internal spaces for vehicles to transport motorcycles or e-bikes. Some models offer fully equipped kitchens that can also be used during the movement of the camper, with a two-burner gas hob, fridge, sink, work space and pantry. Increasingly requested and proposed driver assistance systems to facilitate even the simplest trips.

On the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci it was organized (by the Leonardo 500 Foundation and by the Association of caravan and camper manufacturers) and a seminar entitled "From the journey with Leonardo to a human tourism ".
